coin chute

· January 15, 2016 ·

In a coin piano, the metal (usually) chute in which a coin is inserted for playing a tune. Usually in two parts, the outer chute (which receives the coin) and the inner chute (which connects the outer chute to the coin switch or accumulator). Typically includes a magnet to reject steel slugs to prevent free play.
