Joseph and Lisa Knight are new members who have invited us to their home. They have some interesting mechanical music machines that were in the collection of Joseph’s grandfather, and they are now located in a new home.
If you have never had a chance to visit Escondido, CA, here are some suggestions to make a fun day even more interesting! The city is located in a very picturesque area of San Diego County, close to numerous attractions. There is the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, the California Center for the Arts, Queen Califia’s Magical Circle Sculpture garden and some fine restaurants for lunch. If you want to start early to fill your day, I really recommend the amazing Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum in nearby Carlsbad (9am-4pm, free) 3190 Lionshead Ave. It will blow your mind.
I know it will be a long drive for some people, but our hosts for the day are new members, and they need our support. Have fun.
Snacks and drinks will be supplied.
We must insist on receiving an RSVP before November 11 if you plan on attending. RSVP to Robin Biggins
